An aircraft seat frame for supporting at least one human individual may include a contiguous plate having a first end and a second end; a first bend in the contiguous plate, the first bend spaced from the first end, thus defining a back support portion extending between the first end and the first bend; a second bend in the contiguous plate, the second bend spaced from the first bend, thus defining a seat portion extending between the first bend and the second bend; and a third bend in the contiguous plate, the third bend spaced from the second bend and from the second end, thus defining a leg portion extending between the second bend and the third bend and a base extending from the third bend to the second end.

An adaptive belt is attached to a vehicle seat and includes a first section (), a second section (), and a third section (). The adaptive belt includes a retracted configuration and a fully extended configuration. In the retracted configuration, the adaptive belt is folded between the first section and the second section such that a first attachment attaches the first section to a first portion of the second section. In the retracted configuration, the adaptive belt is also folded between the second section and the third section such that a second attachment attaches a second portion of the second section to a first portion of the third section. In the fully extended configuration, all of the attachments fail thereby increasing a length of the adaptive belt. In response to a threshold loading condition, the adaptive belt changes from the retracted configuration to the fully extended configuration.

A panel assembly that includes a front skin having a front surface, a back surface and at least one crush section portion, a core assembly that includes first, second, third, fourth and fifth layers laminated together, and at least a first crush section. The first, second, third, fourth and fifth layers each include a front surface, a back surface and at least one crush section portion. The front surface of the first layer of the core assembly includes a plurality of scores defined therein. The second layer includes a plurality of elongated voids defined therein and the fourth layer includes a plurality of elongated voids defined therein.

A safety belt () is secured to a seat structure () using movable anchor points (). In an embodiment, a y-belt () is attached to left and right pivotable anchor plates (). The anchor plates () pivot when a load is applied to the safety belt (), thus allowing the anchor points to self-align to maintain an equal amount of tension across the lower and higher portion of the seat belt. In a different embodiment, a 2-point safety belt () is attached to slidable anchors () that move within channels () in response to load applied to the safety belt, allowing the anchor points to self-align to maintain proper tension and positioning of the safety belt ().

Described are video monitor assemblies () including a bezel assembly () coupled to a passenger seatback (), wherein the bezel assembly includes a monitor () and a bezel (), the monitor coupled to the bezel via low load fasteners () and high load fasteners (), wherein the low load fasteners () are configured to fail or shear from a force applied to the monitor () during a head impact, and the high load fasteners () are configured to withstand the force applied to the monitor during the head impact.

Seatback energy management system

The present invention generally relates to passenger aircraft seats. Some examples provide systems for integrating a child seat into a certified aircraft seat. Some examples include a passenger seat backrest having an integrated child seat. An integrated child seat base may be moved between a stowed position and a deployed position. When in the stowed position, the integrated child seat base may fit within a recessed surface of the seat backrest and the seat may then accommodate an adult passenger. When in a deployed position, the integrated child seat may then accommodate a child passenger. The integrated seat may include a harness system that extends through the seat backrest and couples with an internal support structure of seat backrest. In some embodiments the mounting points of the harness system may be reinforced with stiff brackets attached to the internal support structure.
