The invention relates to a blister package comprising:

Recyclable blister package

An oriented heat sealable multilayer structure. The structure comprises a substrate having a first surface and a second surface, the substrate comprising a polyolefin film; a polymeric heat sealable layer on the first surface of the substrate, the layer comprising a polymeric material selected from the group consisting of a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and butene-1, a random copolymer of ethylene and propylene, and blends thereof; a primer coating on the second surface of the substrate; and a water vapor and gas barrier layer on the primer coating, the water vapor and gas barrier layer selected from the group consisting of a vinylidene chloride copolymer containing at least about 50% of vinylidene chloride and an interpolymer comprising a minor amount of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or mixtures thereof and a major amount of neutral monomer esters comprising methyl acrylate, ethyl acrylate, methyl methacrylate or mixtures thereof. A method for producing the heat sealable multilayer film structure is also provided.

Oriented multilayer heat sealable packaging film

A polymer film laminate is provided having improved machinability on modern high speed belt drive machines, particularly when these machines are set up to form lap back seals. A method of assembling such a film is also provided. The film includes an outside web having an upper surface layer containing a silicon oil. This laminating web can be used with virtually any co-laminate, metallized or not, which is bonded thereto with an adhesive. Upon winding the composite film laminate upon a core, silicone oil is transferred to the inside surface of the laminate, thus providing an inside coefficient friction which is about equal to or less than the outside coefficient of friction. Hot slip properties are also improved upon such transfer. The outside and inside webs are independently formed, which allows the inside web to include coatings or film layers which are not ordinarily usable in a silicone oil-containing film.

Laminated packaging film

A multi-layer structure of low COF also having antistick characteristics over a wide temperature range during heat-sealing, comprising an amine containing polypropylene core layer having one or more skin layers of a low stereoregularity polyolefin containing, silica and a polysiloxane and a method of forming the same.

Thermoplastic packaging films with improved heat-seal characteristics

Laminar thermoplastic films are provided which exhibit improved heat seal strengths as well as heat seal temperature ranges. The laminates comprise a predominantly propylene-based polymer substrate or core, the propylene core layer being coated with continuous skins, the skins being fabricated from ethylene based resin with a density of less than 0.939.

Coextruded heat sealable laminar thermoplastic films

A resinous blend composition, and thermoplastic film structures fabricated therefrom having improved physical properties, comprising a polyolefin (e.g., polypropylene & copolymers thereof with ethylene) containing a minor amount based on the weight of the polyolefin and sufficient to improve the heat sealing characteristics of films fabricated from such blends, of a normally solid, resinous, random multipolymer of a mixture comprising pentadiene, 1,3 and at least one other hydrocarbon compound containing ethylenic unsaturation copolymerizable therewith. Examples of such ethylenically unsaturated hydrocarbons include cyclopentadiene, isoprene, 2-methylbutene-2, tertiary butylstyrene, .beta.-pinene, dipentene, .beta.-phellandrene, .alpha.-methylstyrene, and mixtures thereof.
