Disclosed is an absorbent article including an absorbent member arranged between a topsheet and backsheet, the absorbent member having front edge and a rear edge, the absorbent member including a first layer having a first layer front edge and a first layer rear edge and a second layer, the first being shorter than the second layer, wherein the first and second layers include superabsorbent polymer particles, wherein the absorbent member is provided with at least two channels extending in a longitudinal direction and on a respective side of a longitudinal centerline of the absorbent article, the first layer including a higher amount of superabsorbent polymer particles than the second layer, the absorbent member having a total absorbent capacity of 1100 ml or more, wherein a ratio between the front edge distance and the rear edge distance is 1.5 or greater.

Pant-type absorbent article

An absorbent article in the form of pants includes: an absorbent core having two longitudinal edges and two transverse edges, and a pant part. The pant part includes a covering layer, a front section, a back section and an intermediate crotch section, wherein the front and back sections are connected to one another along two opposing longitudinal lateral edges to form a waist opening and a pair of leg openings. The absorbent core is arranged at least in the crotch section and connected to the covering layer on the side of the covering layer that is intended to face the wearer. The pant part includes at least one low-opacity area, which has an opacity that is lower than 50%. The article also includes a liquid-tight coloured barrier layer placed between said absorbent core and covering layer.

Absorbent article in the form of pants, such as nappy pants, sanitary pants or incontinence pants

An absorbent article, such as a diaper, panty diaper, sanitary napkin or incontinence device includes a liquid-permeable topsheet, a backsheet and an absorbent core enclosed between the liquid-permeable topsheet and the backsheet. The absorbent core includes acidic fluff pulp having a pH of 5.5 or less and an organic zinc salt, in particular zinc ricinoleate. The combination of organic zinc salt and acidic fluff pulp exerts a synergetic effect in the suppression of ammonia.

An elasticized web has a gatherable substrate and a multi-strand elastic yarn affixed to the gatherable substrate at a plurality of fixation locations. So that the yarn can be affixed to the substrate without the use of an adhesive, the yarn is subjected to forces to create partial delamination of the yarn at the fixation locations and a portion of the gatherable substrate is caused to pass between the thus delaminated strands of the multi-strand elastic yarn. The elasticized web of the present invention is particularly suitable for use in disposable absorbent articles.

The invention relates to an absorbent article for taking up body fluids, with a longitudinal direction, a transverse direction, a crotch portion () and two end portions (), and having side edges () extending in the longitudinal direction and end edges () extending in the transverse direction, and comprising a liquid-permeable cover sheet () and a liquid-tight cover sheet (), and an absorbent body () arranged between the cover sheets (), and further comprising barriers which are arranged along the side edges () of the article and which are raised up from the liquid-permeable cover sheet (). The liquid-permeable cover sheet () has a central zone () which is arranged essentially in the crotch portion () of the article, and two end zones () which are arranged at the end portions () of the article, the liquid-permeable cover sheet () being more hydrophilic in the central zone () than in the end zones ().
