Prolific Inventors in South Korea

Prolific inventors in South Korea include Jang Yeong-Sil (1390 – 1442), who is credited with the creation of various types of astronomical instruments, the metal printing press, and several types of improved water clocks; Choi Seok-Jeong (1646–1715), he published the Gusuryak, the first known literature on Latin squares; Moo-Young Han (1934 – 2016), he is credited with introducing the SU(3) symmetry of quarks, today known as the colour charge; Benjamin Whisoh Lee (1935 – 1977)  introduced the Lee-Weinberg bound, about the cosmological lower bound on heavy neutrino masses; Jeong Yak-Yong (1762 – 1836), was one of the greatest thinkers in the later Joseon period, wrote highly influential books about philosophy, science and theories of government.
