Looking at the past 20 years of USPTO data, the top 100,000 inventors (top 1.89% of all inventors) generated 3,423,287 patents (62.24% of all patents).

Here’s the minimum threshold to be in this exclusive club: Top 100,000 ~15 patents; Top 50,000 ~23 patents; Top 25,000 ~35 patents; Top 10,000 ~59 patents; Top 5,000 ~84 patents; Top 1,000 ~179 patents.

Misha Ghosh is a prolific inventor with eighty-six USPTO-issued utility patents and over two hundred U.S and international patent filings pending.
