Prior to joining Huawei, he was with Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs, Cambridge, MA, USA, as a Research Scientist; where he conducted advanced research in broadband mobile communications.

The transmitting UE sends configuration parameters to the receiving UE through higher-layer signalling. These parameters include feedback channel and sidelink reference signal information. Patent №: 11659471 (May 23, 2023) – This invention provides a system, method, and computer-readable medium that enables the use of a different numbering plan for sending text messages to mobile subscribers through the public mobile telephone network. With this technology, both users within a closed network and users outside the closed network can send short messages to members of the closed network using an alternative enterprise directory number, such as the office number, instead of the mobile number.

Patent №: 11659335 (May 23, 2023) – Bone conduction speaker. The bone conduction speaker and its compound vibration device simplify the technology and reduce costs by using fixed vibration conductive plates and vibration boards. Additionally, the compound vibration device has adjustable parts that can modify both low and high-frequency ranges, resulting in a flatter frequency response and broader sound output.

Patent №: 11659341 (May 23, 2023) – Systems and methods for suppressing sound leakage. A speaker consists of a housing, a transducer inside the housing, and one or more sound guiding holes on the housing. When the guided sound waves and the leaked sound waves meet in a specific area, they interfere with each other.

Johannes Hilpert

Johannes Hilpert received a Dipl.-Ing. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, in 1994.

He joined the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits, Erlangen, Germany, where he worked on perceptual audio measurement and MPEG perceptual audio codecs such as MP3 and AAC.

In 2000, he headed the team for real-time audio coding algorithms on digital signal processors, and since 2001, he has been in charge of the Audio Coding and Multimedia Software Group.

From 2013, he had the position of Chief Engineer for the Audio and Multimedia Division and has been the Head of the Audio Department, since 2016. Mr. Hilpert’s recent research topics are parametric multichannel, multiobject audio coding, and 3-D audio. He is a Co-Editor of the ISO/MPEG MPEG Surround and SAOC standards.

Patent №: 11657 8 26 (May 23, 2023) – The audio decoder generates four audio channel signals from an encoded representation using multi-channel decoding. It extracts two residual signals and combines them with downmix signals to produce the audio channel signals. The audio encoder follows the same principles.

Mr. Wu is a prolific Taiwanese inventor with a keen sense of innovation in the field of display devices.

Patent №: 11659666 (May 23, 2023) – The display device includes a wraparound display panel with two wraparound edges and two non-wraparound edges. It is connected to a flexible circuit board at one of the non-wraparound edges via a bonding region to drive the display panel.

Patent №: 11657747 (May 23, 2023) – The display device has a curved substrate with two side edges. The first side edge is more curved than the second side edge. The substrate houses a gate line and a data line, with each line having a different curvature.
