Mr. Akkarakaran was born in Thrissur, India in 1975.
He received the B. Tech. degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, in 1996, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, both in electrical engineering, in 1997 and 2001, respectively.

Patent №: 11750341 (September 5, 2023) –Demodulation reference signal and phase rotation for sub-physical resource block allocation with two-tone modulation.

The technology described is for improving wireless communication. It involves a device, known as User Equipment (UE), that adjusts the phase rotation of a received symbol based on a specific index. This adjusted symbol is then sent back through the uplink. The method offers various other features as well.

Patent №: 11748322 (September 5, 2023) –Utilizing different data compression algorithms based on characteristics of a storage system.

The system adapts its data compression methods based on the storage system’s needs. It chooses a compression algorithm based on whether it’s more important to save processing power or storage space. If either the available processing resources or storage space changes, the system switches to a different compression algorithm accordingly.

Patent №: 11751154 (September 5, 2023) –Synchronization signal block selection.

The system is designed for choosing the best synchronization signal block from multiple options. It receives these blocks on a wideband carrier, each containing a synchronization signal and a physical broadcast channel. The system detects at least one block and its associated frequency. It then selects one block and its frequency for decoding. Based on the decoding results, the system decides whether to stick with the chosen block or select a new one.
Patent №: 11751207 (September 5, 2023) – Scheduling of transmission time intervals. The system schedules transmission times using a processor. It creates two sets of resources with different time intervals and transmits them using unique IDs. This allows for efficient use of transmission resources.

Patent №: 11748124 (September 5, 2023) –System and method for providing layouts for a remote desktop session. The system helps set up remote desktop sessions. When a client device requests a session, the server gathers device information and picks a layout from a database. This layout specifies which remote applications to run and how to configure them for the session.
Patent №: 11748078 (September 5, 2023) – Generating tie code fragments for binary translation. The system translates code between different formats. It decodes source code, updates a register mapping table if needed, and then converts the code to a new compatible format.

Catalina Mladin is a Member of the Technical Staff at InterDigital Communications Inc., currently working on IoT development with Convida Wireless.
Patent №: 11750702 (September 5, 2023) – Subscription and notification service.

The system allows for flexible subscription and notification settings. It can change how notifications are sent based on the status of the recipient and also provides access to past notifications.
Jin Liu
Jin Liu received the B.S. degree from Xidian University in 2000, and the Ph.D. degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2006.
She joined Bell Labs, China, in Alcatel-Lucent Shanghai Bell as a Research Scientist in 2005, where she is involved in 3G/4G key technologies.
Since 2014, she has been a Senior Engineer with the Central Research Institute, Huawei, responsible for standards research on 5G technologies. Her research interests include MIMO, multi-point coordination, carrier aggregation, small cells, and user-centric networks.

The system involves a node in wireless communications that receives and transmits various signals and information. It uses different symbol groups and bit sequences for effective transmission. The method is particularly useful for handling dynamic slot formats in New Radio (NR) systems.
