John L Melanson

Mr. Melanson has worked in varied areas of audio, energy, computers, signal processing (DSP and analog), power and IC design for over 50 years.

He describes himself as enjoying hiking, cooking, piano, music, jewelry design and creation, and chasing Jack Russell terriers. He also has been awarded an Oscar.

His special interest is encouraging young people to find an engineering career.

Mr. Melanson attended the University of Colorado Boulder where he received his EE/CS, Engineering, 1970 – 1974.

Patent №: 11695337 (July 4, 2023) – Current control for a boost converter with dual anti-wound inductor. This system windings generate opposing magnetic fields. Their coupling coefficient is below 0.95. The system includes a current control subsystem that regulates the electrical current to prevent core saturation and adjusts the output current according to a reference signal.

Teemu Koponen

Mr. Koponen is Co-founder at Styra.

Patent №: 11695695 (July 4, 2023) – Logical L3 daemon. This method describes configuring a host in a network to resolve network addresses using an address resolution module. Additionally, a managed forwarding element in the host is configured to avoid sending address resolution requests to other hosts. Instead, it uses the address resolution module to resolve the network address and forwards packets using the resolved network address.
