Elya Shechtman is a Senior Principal Scientist at the Creative Intelligence Lab, Adobe Research.

He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering (cum laude) from Tel-Aviv University in 1996 and his MSc and Ph.D. with honours in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Weizmann Institute of Science in 2003 and 2007.

Elya then joined Adobe and also shared his time as a post-doc at the University of Washington between 2007-2010. He has published over 100 academic publications; and received several honours and awards, including the Best Paper prize at ECCV 2002, the Best Paper award at WACV 2018, the Best Paper Runner-Up at FG 2020 and the Helmholtz “Test of Time Award” at ICCV 2017.

Mr. Shechtman’s research is in the intersection of computer vision, computer graphics and machine learning. In particular, he is focusing on generative and example-based modelling and editing of visual data. Some of his research can be found in Adobe’s products as well as in more than 100 issued US patents.

He received a B.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Daejeon, South Korea, in 2000; and an M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University, CA, USA, in 2002 and 2005, respectively.
Mr. Song is currently the Vice President of Samsung Semiconductor Inc., and the Leader of the SOC-Cellular and Multimedia team in the USA; overseeing the 5G modem systems R&D and commercialization of Samsung’s Exynos SoC and Modem products for U.S, Canada, and Latin America operators.

Prior to Samsung, Kee-Bong was with Apple, Amicus Wireless Technology and Qualcomm working on various projects on wireless technologies.
His research interest includes wireless communication, signal processing algorithms for RF systems, machine learning, and AI.
