Patent №: 12143976 (November 12, 2024) – Signaling-overhead reduction with resource grouping. A configuration for managing the spatial relationships of multiple uplink control channel (PUCCH) resources in a single message, reducing signaling overhead. User equipment (UE) creates a message indicating a shared spatial relation for specific component carriers (CCs) or bandwidth parts (BWPs) and sends it to a base station. The base station then configures multiple spatial parameters for the selected CCs, BWPs, or uplink/downlink resources.

Patent №: 12143946 (November 12, 2024) – Beam-specific virtual power headroom reporting. A user equipment (UE) may send a virtual power headroom report (PHR) to a base station, utilizing a beam-specific pathloss reference signal (PLRS) as a basis. The base station may then provide downlink transmission informed by this virtual PHR.

Patent №: 12143925 (November 12, 2024) – Techniques for multiplexing restriction relaxation for full duplex communication. A device may identify certain multiplexing restrictions in a wireless network but may choose to disregard them for full duplex communication. Based on this decision, the device can engage in full duplex communication.

Patent №: 12143342 (November 12, 2024) – Techniques for managing semi-static scheduling occasion overwrites. A user equipment (UE) receives a control message from a base station (BS) activating a semi-static scheduling configuration with designated uplink grant symbols. The BS may then send an SFI that reassigns some of these uplink symbols as downlink symbols, prompting the UE to take necessary actions to handle downlink communication in the reassigned symbols.

Patent №: 12143187 (November 12, 2024) – Mitigating non-transmitted beam failure detection reference signal due to listen-before-talk failure. User equipment may determine configuration details for a periodic beam failure detection reference signal (BFD-RS) on a wireless channel with a listen-before-talk requirement. Based on parameters in this configuration, the UE may monitor the channel for either the periodic or an aperiodic BFD-RS to address cases when the periodic signal is not transmitted as scheduled.

This disclosure describes systems and methods for a ground-penetrating tailgate sensor. An example method includes using an ultra-wideband transceiver in a vehicle’s tailgate to transmit a signal toward the ground below. When the tailgate is closed, the transceiver receives a return signal from an object positioned above the vehicle.
