Satoshi Seo completed the Master’s Program of Applied Chemistry at Graduate School of Engineering of The University of Tokyo in 2000. In April of the same year, he joined Semiconductor Energy Laboratory Co., Ltd., and has been involved in R&D of OLED for more than 20 years.
Satoshi served as General Manager of OEL division, General Manager of Intellectual Property Division, Director and Corporate Officer, and then assumed the position of Representative Director and President in August 2023.
In March 2015, he was awarded Chemical Society of Japan Award for Young Chemists in Technical Development.
Patent №: 12201018 – Light-emitting device, light-emitting apparatus, electronic device, and lighting device. A durable light-emitting device includes an anode, cathode, and EL layer with light-emitting and electron-transport layers. The light-emitting layer forms an exciplex, while the electron-transport layer contains a compound defined by General Formula (G1).
Patent №: 12200983 – Light-emitting device, method for manufacturing the same, and cellular phone. The invention involves a light-emitting device with a flexible substrate, electrodes, and a light-emitting layer, where specific electrodes are electrically connected. It also covers its manufacturing method and integration into a cellphone, positioned on the upper front side of the housing.
Patent №: 12200952 – Light-emitting device, light-emitting apparatus, electronic device, display device, and lighting device. A durable light-emitting device includes a light-emitting unit and a color conversion layer. The EL layer features multiple organic compound layers, with an emission center and a compound having a HOMO level of −5.7 to −5.4 eV.
Standards Engineer at Apple.
Systems operate on unlicensed spectrum by performing listen-before-talk (LBT) operations. If the spectrum is unoccupied after the first LBT, uplink transmission occurs; otherwise, a second LBT is performed in another slot.
Patent №: 12200699 – Physical downlink control channel candidate resource mapping and transmission for multi-TRP operation. A base station maps PDCCH for multi-TRP operation, sharing a CORESET, performing REG bundle mapping and interleaving, and transmitting DCI using the CORESET.
Patent №: 12200685 – Mechanism for TB processing over multi-slot scheme. The disclosure proposes configurations for multi-slot Transmission Block (TBoMS), covering size, scheduling, and resource allocation for proper processing.
Patent №: 12200644 – Synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel block transmission in wireless communication. The UE monitors a downlink frequency to detect an SSB, calculates the frequency using a step size, determines the subcarrier spacing (SCS), and uses it for communication with the base station.
Patent №: 12200626 – Methods and apparatus for power control mechanisms for simultaneous uplink transmissions on multiple panels in wireless communication. Embodiments relate to uplink multi-panel transmission, where a UE determines if the total transmission power from multiple panels exceeds the UE’s maximum power. The UE then performs power control for the transmission.
Patent №: 12200622 – Power saving for user equipment through sidelink resource allocation. A UE selects resources, removes those reserved by a pedestrian UE, and uses the remaining resources for communication with a third UE. Removal can also depend on RSRP thresholds or the pedestrian UE’s data priority.
Patent №: 12200557 – Enhancement in NTN mobility. A cellular base station configures a mobility parameter for a target NTN base station and sends it to a wireless device, which uses the parameter to perform the handover.
Patent №: 12200524 – Flexible downlink control signal monitoring in wireless communications. A device switches between dormant and active monitoring states for PDCCHs in carrier aggregation. Switching is managed with a new or modified DCI format and a DS timer.
Patent №: 12199912 – Technologies for synchronization signal block multiplexing with downlink and uplink transmissions. The application relates to devices and methods for scheduling synchronization signal blocks (SSB) at a lower subcarrier spacing (SCS), with uplink and downlink transmissions at a higher SCS.
Patent №: 12199893 – Configuring physical uplink shared channel transmissions with improved reliability. A base station configures a device for uplink data transmission to multiple transmission-reception points and receives part of the transmission.
Patent №: 12199706 – Method for control signaling for multi-beam PUSCH repetition transmission. A method for a base station involves communication with a user equipment (UE) configured for codebook or non-codebook-based multi-beam PUSCH repetition. The UE derives uplink precoders using various provided options.
Patent №: 12199702 – Multi-transmission and receipt point (multi-TRP) enhancement. A method involves a user equipment (UE) identifying component carriers for data transmission or reception. The UE indicates to the network whether each carrier supports multi-TRP communication.
