Patent №: 12389429 – Third stage sidelink control information design. A wireless device can send three stages of sidelink control info (SCI-1 in the control region, SCI-2 and SCI-3 in the data region), with SCI-2 carrying details to decode SCI-3, alongside sidelink data in the same slot.

A base station signals a UE with code point mappings to specific positioning reference signals (PRS), indicates which code point to activate, and then transmits the corresponding PRSs for the UE to receive.
