Mr. Loui received a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Toronto, Canada. He is with the Computer Engineering Department, at Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT).
Before joining RIT in 2018, he spent over 28 years in some technical and research leadership positions with Kodak Alaris, Kodak Research Laboratories, and Bell Communications Research.
His research interests include computer vision, machine learning, image/video processing and understanding, and multimedia applications.
He is a Senior Area Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Image Processing and a Senior Editor of the SPIE/IS&T Journal of Electronic Imaging.
