Centurion+ Patent Holders as of August 6, 2024

Welcome to the 6th of August 2024: Our goal is to celebrate the patent holders who have reached noteworthy milestones in their fields this week.

Patent №: 12058772 (August 6, 2024) – Multiple active bandwidth parts. In wireless communications, Bandwidth Parts (BWPs) are managed using control and timer procedures to activate, deactivate, and switch BWPs. A base station can send instructions for BWP actions. A device controls a BWP inactivity timer based on changes to another BWP.

Patent №: 12058760 (August 6, 2024) – Logical channel configuration. A base station sends an RRC reconfiguration message to a device for a first logical channel in a connected state and an RRC release message for a second logical channel in an inactive or idle state. The second message includes a grant list for data transmission. The base station then receives data from the second logical channel.

Patent №: 12058708 (August 6, 2024) – Resource pool configuration and hybrid automatic repeat request transmission. A wireless device receives sidelink resource pool configurations from a base station, including zone identifiers. It determines its zone identifiers based on location and transmits control information to other devices using the resource pool if the primary zone identifiers match.

Patent №: 12058700 (August 6, 2024) – Common beam indication based on link selection. A wireless device receives a MAC CE activating a TCI state, including a TCI state ID and a link indicator. The link indicator shows if the TCI state ID is for downlink or uplink. The device then communicates with the base station based on this information.

Patent №: 12058655 (August 6, 2024) – Resource reselection triggering conditions for sidelink communications. A wireless device receives two configuration messages from a base station with different TDD uplink and downlink configurations for a cell. Upon detecting the difference, the device triggers sidelink resource reselection for reserved resources and transmits transport blocks.

Patent №: 12058652 (August 6, 2024) – Bandwidth part for multicast and broadcast services. A wireless device receives messages indicating a cell’s BWP with resource blocks (RBs) for multicast and broadcast service (MBS) and an RNTI. It also receives group common DCI via these RBs, indicating a multicast transmission. The device then starts a BWP inactivity timer.

Patent №: 12058622 (August 6, 2024) – Power control for sidelink feedback. A wireless device receives a configuration message with power control parameters for two sidelink feedback types. Based on the feedback type, it selects the appropriate power control parameter set. The device determines the transmit power for a sidelink feedback signal using the selected parameters and transmits the feedback signal to another device.

Patent №: 12058081 (August 6, 2024) – Secondary cell management in wireless communications. In wireless communications, secondary cell management involves a cell group with multiple secondary cells, including a first cell with a control channel. The wireless device keeps the first cell active as long as any secondary cell in the group is active.
