Patent №: 11968595 (April 23, 2024) – System and method for determining physical locations of addresses. The method involves receiving global positioning data from both a vehicle’s GPS and a portable electronic device’s GPS, along with location metadata from a picture. It determines a residence location from any of these sources and associates it with the address.

Gil Levy

Data Scientist Architect at NVIDIA

Mr. Levy holds a B.S.C.E. in electrical engineering from the Tel-Aviv University.

He is currently working at Nvidia on Ethernet switch architecture. Gil previously worked for Marvell and Broadlight (now Broadcom) on the development of Ethernet switches and network processors for metro and data centers.

His focus is high-speed packet processing probabilistic data structures, packet buffering, and telemetry.

Patent №: 11968285 (April 23, 2024) – Efficient memory utilization for cartesian products of rules. A network device comprises ports for packet exchange and action-select circuitry. The circuitry determines search keys based on packet header fields, compares them to compare values, and outputs an action indicator for packet processing based on matches.

Debra M Bell

Vice President – DRAM Product Engineering at Micron Technology.

Experienced engineering leader with >20 years in the semiconductors industry. Skilled in team development across worldwide groups with a passion for inclusivity and innovation.

Bachelor of Science (BSEE) from Brigham Young University, and MSEE from National Technological University.

Patent №: 11967353 (April 23, 2024) – Memory with programmable refresh order and stagger time. Memory devices and systems with programmable refresh order and stagger times are disclosed. In one embodiment, a memory device includes first and second memory bank groups. In response to a refresh command, the device performs a first refresh operation on the first group at the first time and a second refresh operation on the second group at a later time. It also performs read or write operations on one or both groups between starting the first refresh and finishing the second refresh.

Simeon Furrer

Simeon Furrer received the Dipl.-Ing. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH), Zurich, Switzerland, in 1999 and 2005, respectively.

He was a Principal Scientist with Broadcom Corporation, Sunnyvale, CA, USA, from 2005 to 2010, where he was involved in the design and architecture of IEEE 802.11n-compliant multiple input multiple output (MIMO) wireless local-area network (WLAN) chipsets.

Since 2010, Dr. Furrer has been a Research Staff Member at the IBM Research – Zurich Laboratory, Switzerland.

He was named IBM Master Inventor in 2018. As a member of the Tape Research Group at IBM Research Europe – Zurich, he is currently focusing on advanced signal-processing algorithms for tape read channels and servo control aspects to improve storage capacity. His research interests include cloud data storage, magnetic tape recording, nanopositioning, signal processing and error-correction coding.

Patent №: 11967342 (April 23, 2024) – Header decoding mechanism for tape storage. Mechanisms are provided to receive encoded header information stored on a tape drive’s tape. The information is generated for multiple tracks, with a set of symbols containing identical information across all tracks and another set configurable to have different information. The first set is modified to include parity information corresponding to the second set. The received encoded header information is then decoded.

Radu Bogdan Rusu

Radu B. Rusu is the CEO and Co-Founder of Fyusion, Inc.

Radu is also affiliated with the public benefit Open Perception organization where he acts as its President. Before Fyusion, Radu was a Visiting Lecturer at Stanford University, a Research Scientist at Willow Garage where he created the Point Cloud Library (PCL) project, and a world renowned expert in 3D data processing with over 10 years of experience in the field.

Radu received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Technische Universitaet Muenchen (TUM), Germany in 2009 with summa cum laude.

During his Ph.D., Radu was affiliated with the CoTeSys (Cognition for Technical Systems) excellence cluster at TUM, the AIC (Artificial Intelligence Center) at SRI (Stanford Research Institute) as an International Fellow Researcher, and Willow Garage, working on 3D semantic mapping techniques for mobile robots.

Radu is a senior IEEE member and the recipient of the IEEE RAS Early Career Award 2013. Radu also won the Open Source Software (OSS) World Challenge in 2011 with PCL.

Patent №: 11967162 (April 23, 2024) – Method and apparatus for 3-D auto tagging. A multi-view interactive digital media representation (MVIDMR) of an object is generated from live images captured by a camera. Selectable tags are placed on the object in the MVIDMR, allowing users to view detailed media content when selected. A machine learning algorithm recognizes landmarks on the object, and a structure from motion calculation determines their 3-D positions. A 3-D skeleton of the object is assembled from these positions and projected into the MVIDMR frames to determine selectable tag locations.

Wende Zhang

Director – Sensing and Localization at General Motors.

His research interests include perception and sensing for automated driving, pattern recognition, computer vision, artificial intelligence, security, and robotics.

Patent №: 11965978 (April 23, 2024) – Calibration pipeline for estimating six degrees of freedom (6DoF) alignment parameters for an autonomous vehicle. A calibration pipeline for 6DoF alignment parameters for an autonomous vehicle includes an automated driving controller that receives inertial measurement unit (IMU) poses and final radar poses. It determines smoothed IMU poses and smoothed final radar poses. The controller aligns these poses to create radar-IMU A, B relative pose pairs. It then filters and samples these pairs to determine a calibration solution.
